RESPONSE OF COMMON BUCKWHEAT (Fagopyrum esculentum Moench) TO SEED RATE AND FERTILITY

Abstract
The experiment was conducted at research field and laboratory in the Department of
Crop Physiology and Ecology, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology
University, Dinajpur, during the period of November 2012 to April 2013. The
experiment was laid out in a two factors randomized complete block design (RCBD)
with three replications. The two factors were A: Seed rate ( 60 kg ha’, 90 kg ha’ and
120 kg ha") and B: Fertilizer Rate ( NoPoKo kg ha”, N2oP29Kio kg ha™', N4oP4oK20 kg ha”!
and NeoP6oK30 kg ha’. Data were recorded on: days to emergence, days to two leave
stage, days to four leave stage, days to branch, number of nodes at branching, plant
height, leaf number, leaf area plant’, days to flower, dry weight, spike plant’, grains
plant’, 1000 seeds weight, grain yield and straw yield ha”.
