Cattle of Bangladesh are an inseparable and integral part of the agricultural farming and agribusiness system. Beef fattening is an emerging sector for employment and income generation for the rural poor, especially landless, destitute and divorced women. Cattle fattening is an effective tool for poverty alleviation for the rural poor. One of the advantages of the cattle fattening by the rural farmers is that they use locally available cattle feed resources during the Eid festival.
