    Abstract
    The aim of this study was observed the pathological lesions of avian leukosis in Rangpur district.In a period of six months, a total of 433 birds were observed. Layer birds (13.3%) were mostly affected than broiler (6.73%). Birds reared in a poultry farm were mostly affected than in backyard system (20.74%). Mortality of affected birds experienced at the age of 16 weeks and above.Histopathological lesions of clinical samples were studied and lesions included homogeneous population of lymphoblasts,nodular and diffuse in liver, diffuse infiltration of lymphocytes with mitotic figures in the liver, displacement and compression of the hepatic parenchyma by the accumulation of large number of neoplastic lymphocytes,which were characterized by round cells,scanty cytoplasm and deep staining nuclei and distorted hepatic cords and severely congested blood vessels.
