    Abstract
The experiments were conducted in the campus of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU) during January 2011 to December 2011 on prevalence and their a management of mango diseases. Mango variety ‘amropali’ of four and six years old plant were used in the experiment. Data on major diseases of mango, their incidence and severity were recorded for twelve month. Altogether, five different of diseases viz. red rust, bacterial leaf spot/blight, anthracnose, dieback and powdery mildew were recorded. Among the diseases, red rust and bacterial leaf spot/blight were found major problem in ‘amropali’ cultivation at HSTU campus. Red rust disease incidence (77.76%) and severity (51.00%) was the highest in the month of December while highest bacterial leaf blight incidence (19.29%) was found in the month of January and severity (15.30%) was in the month December. The six years old plant was more vulnerable to attack by all the diseases compared to four years old plant. Efficacy of three different chemicals viz. Bordeaux mixture, Cupravit 50 WP and Detergent were evaluated. Bordeaux mixture and Cupravit 50 WP were found effective in controlling red rust and bacterial leaf spot/blight of mango. Both the fungicides were also found useful in reducing anthracnose, dieback and powdery mildew disease incidence and disease severity of mango plants.
