| dc.description.abstract | The experiment was undertaken to show the comparison of the age effects on
growth and development of seminal vesicles of indigenous bull. The ages of
bulls were determined by dentition method. Gross vesicular gland samples were
collected from slaughter houses of Haragach, Gangachara and Rangpur city of
Rangpur district and carried to the laboratory of the Department of Anatomy and
Histology during the period from July to December, 2013. Live weights of bulls
were measured by using measuring tape before slaughtering. Vesicular glands of
the indigenous bull of different ages were found to differ in length, width,
thickness and weight. In case of 1.5 years old bull the average length, width,
thickness and weight of the right gland were 7.24+0.02 cm, 2.2+0.1 cm, 1.45 cm,
16.5340.0577 gm respectively, which are higher than those of left gland. In case
of 2.5 years old bull the average length, width, thickness and weight of the right
gland were 10.73+0.152 cm, 2.840.1 cm, 2.5+0.1 cm, 24.4+0.7 gm respectively,
which were higher than those of left gland. In case of 3.5 years old bull the
length, width, thickness and weight of vesicular glands were found highest than
those of the 1.5 and 2.5 years old bull. Histologically the lobules were highly
developed and larger with more lipid droplets in 2.5 years and highest in
3.5years old bull and tunica musculris was developed in 3.5 years old bull. It
concluded that the age between 2.5 to 3.5 years old bulls are shown higher
vesicular growth and maturity of tissues. | en_US |
