Abstract
An experiment was conducted with naturally occurring growth
substances in aqueous extracts of some common fruit leaves viz.,
Amm (T;), Jam (T2), Jackfruit (T3), Litchy (T3), Bel (Ts), Papaya
(T7), Kala (Tg), Guava (T9) and Jalpy (Tjo) on each Pulse crops such
as BARI Mash-3, BINA Mug-5, Lentil-2 and Bean with the attempt
for chemical investigation of effective Fruit leaves extract. The
aqueous extracts of Bel (Aegle marmelos) significantly reduced and
delayed the germination of BARI. Mash-3, BINA Mug-5, Lentil-2
and Bean seeds compared with control. The highest germination
percentage was 72.67%, 60%, 100% and 98.67% and maximum
growth of BARI Mash-3, BINA. Mug-5, Lentil-2 and Bean in seeds
treated with control. The effect of aqueous extract of wood apple
(Aegle marmelos) showed the lowest germination percentage,
reduced root and shoot length in BARI. Mash-3, BINA. Mug-5,
Length-2 and Bean seedlings. The Thin Layer Chromatography
(TLC) examination with chloroform and ethyl alcohol extracts of
wood apple was showed four distinct compounds at Hexane:
Ethylacetate (7:1, v/v, 4:1, v/v) and chloroform crude extract of
