Collections
Abstract
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to investigate university students’ entrepreneurial
mindset and to determine factors which prevent them to go towards entrepreneur.
Methodology: Primary data was collected through a self-constructed survey questionnaire,
encompassing explanatory variables such as gender, educational background, family support,
entrepreneurial education, risk-taking propensity, opportunity identification, and social
recognition. These variables were analyzed alongside the dependent variable, entrepreneurial
intentions, using PLS-SEM and SPSS for data processing.
Findings: Risk propensity, Opportunity recognition and Entrepreneurship education showed
positive results while social recognition and Family support expose a bad correlation with
aspirations to become entrepreneurs.
Limitations: This research project also confined the sample to its sample population and a
set of explanatory variable that was used in this research and hence there can be an addition
to this in the future research studies.
