| dc.description.abstract | The report attempts to analyze the financial performance of Rupali Bank PLC. It has been one
of the leading public banks in Bangladesh. The bank offers a wide range of products and
services, which include deposits, loans, and advances, ATM services, utility services, SME
banking, internet banking, mobile banking, etc. The ratio analysis method is used to analyze
the financial performance of Rupali Bank PLC. Therefore, ratios such as leverage ratio, equity
ratio, debt to equity ratio, loan to total asset ratio, earning per share, return on asset, return on
equity, etc. are calculated to obtain an overall view of its financial performance by using
secondary data. For this reason, ten years of data (2014–2023) are to be considered for the year
to-year financial performance of Rupali Bank PLC. In the year-to-year financial analysis of
Rupali Bank, it can be said that Rupali Bank has not performed up to the mark in 2021 due to
the overall unstable condition in the banking sector. This report has been conducted on the basis
of secondary data. Some financial tools have been used to analyze the data. It is found that the
EPS rate has increased per year, the leverage ratio has increased compared to the previous year,
total equity has decreased, the debt ratio has also increased, total assets have increased per year,
total loans and advances have decreased, and net profit per employee has increased compared
to the year 2022. The bank showed an overall improvement in financial stability, with notable
increases in EPS and a balanced loan-to-deposit ratio. Despite fluctuations, the positive trend
in ROA and ROE highlights periods of efficiency and profitability. The analysis underscores
the importance of continuous monitoring and adaptive strategies for sustaining growth and
improving financial health. The report provides valuable insights for bank authorities,
investors, shareholders, and policymakers, offering strategic recommendations for future
performance enhancement and competitive advantage in the banking sector of Bangladesh.
These findings suggest intricate dynamics in profitability metrics that are essential for strategic
decision-making. The report underscores the importance of these insights for understanding the
financial health and operational efficiency of Rupali Bank PLC, providing valuable
recommendations for its future financial strategies. | en_US |
