This study aims to evaluate the relationships between population, production, and arable lands in four Asian countries (Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, and Nepal) using a panel data framework for the period 1990–2020. The main objective of this research is to evaluate the relationships between population growth, agricultural production, and the use of arable land. This analysis presents how population growth and increasing food demand impact the utilization of arable land as well as the production of crops. It’s also examining the relationships between population growth and the productivity of agricultural land and the impact of population growth on the quality of arable land. The data for this research collects from the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) database. It also uses statistical analysis to interpret the data, using EViews software. It undertakes a panel unit root test and panel cointegration analysis to investigate the long-run relationships between variables. In addition, panel impulse response functions (IRFs) are also used to investigate the direction of causality over the short- and long-term as well as the impact of responses between population, production, and arable land. The results of the research help identify the factors that affect agricultural productivity and sustainability. The research aims to provide insight into how population growth impacts agricultural production and the utilization of arable land.en_US
