Collections
Abstract
Revenue is one of the most important sources of financing for any country's growth, wherefore
revenue is the important source of funding for Bangladesh's development. The government earns
revenue through tax revenue and non-tax revenue and prepares the budget of the country. Hence,
it is very important to maintain the continuity of growth of this revenue generation. The purpose
of this research is therefore to analyze the amount of revenue generated by the government
consisting of tax revenue and non-tax revenue, to compare the increase in revenue with the trend
analysis as well as the increase in budget. To illustrate this study, secondary data have been
collected from various government surveys, reports and paper. Following the analysis and
visualization of these data, it was discovered that, in general, the quantity of total revenue, tax
revenue, and non-tax revenue is rising year by year in accordance with the budget. On the other
hand, when the amount of changes in this revenue is considered, such as total revenue changes,
tax revenue changes, and non-tax revenue changes in each financial year, it can be observed that
in recent years, both decreases and increases have occurred in comparison to prior years. Which
basically indicates an unstable growing trend of revenue collection. The data, illustrations and
interpretations of this study will help in the future analysis of total revenue, tax revenue or non-tax
revenue, and future budgeting related any tasks.
