| dc.description.abstract | This study aims to examine customer and employee satisfaction across various service
quality dimensions in their interactions with the Bank. The primary objective of the
report is to assess the satisfaction levels of both customers and employees regarding the
services offered by Grameen Bank, Chehelgazi Branch, Dinajpur. Grameen Bank,
founded by Professor Muhammad Yunus in 1983 in Bangladesh, is renowned for its
innovative microfinance model that provides small loans to the rural poor, particularly
women, without requiring collateral. This model has garnered global recognition and has
been replicated in numerous countries as a means to alleviate poverty and empower
economically marginalized communities. This literature review explores the origins,
impact, and criticisms of Grameen Bank, drawing on various scholarly sources. The
review highlights the significance of service quality in banking, emphasizing its role in
customer satisfaction and business performance. Research indicates that service quality
can enhance business performance by retaining and attracting customers. However,
many Bangladeshi banks have shown limited interest in investing in research to
understand and meet customer needs. This gap underscores the importance of customer
service excellence as a crucial factor for competitiveness and customer satisfaction. The
study also addresses job satisfaction, noting its critical impact on organizational success.
Various factors, including workplace environment, remuneration, and management
practices influence employee satisfaction. Understanding these factors is essential for
improving employee well-being and, by extension, customer service quality. | en_US |
