Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the significance of external auditors in reviewing
the financial statements of the Janata Bank Ltd.The financial sector in Bangladesh and
elsewhere has recently become so unique, challenging, and gravely serious, and has been
portrayed by deliberate, misrepresentation, error, and embezzlement of assets in the bank,
whose impact has undeniably shaken the nation's overall economy. To gather data for this
project effectively and efficiently, primary and secondary techniques were both employed.
The researcher designed and advanced questionnaires for Janata Bank Ltd. to gather primary
data. The survey's findings were analyzed for the study's comprehension using tables with
straightforward percentages, journals, manuals, address notes, and other sources, while
secondary data was gathered from course texts. The Z-test equation was used to evaluate the
hypothesis. The study's findings show that reviewing Janata Bank's financial records or
statements by an outside auditor can help identify and stop frauds, mistakes, and asset theft in
institutions. There were suggestions given to the Pulhat Branch administration of Janata Bank
Ltd.
