dc.description.abstractWheat is the most important cereal next to rice in Bangladesh and diseases are one of the major constrain to the wheat production. Among the disease Bipolaris leaf blight caused Bipolaris sorokiniana is a major disease that occurs every in all wheat growing area. An experiment was conducted at the research field of Plant Pathology Department, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science & Technology University, Dinajpur During Robi season 2022-2023 using 4 different wheat varieties named BARI Gom-31, BARI Gom-32, BARI Gom-33, and WMRI Gom-1 with one fungicide CabrioTop 60WG to evaluate the efficacy of single fungicide at a minimum dose to control the leaf blight of wheat in most of the varieties. Different growth parameter, disease parameter and yield contributing parameter were measured. Disease severity was recorded at different four stages. Significant variations on disease severity and grain yield were observed among the varieties. WMRI Gom-1 has shown the best result on the contrary BARI Gom-31 have gave the minimum result. The highest disease severity was found in variety BARI Gom-31 with no fungicidal spray and the lowest percent disease index observed in WMRI Gom-1 with two times fungicide application. To control Bipolaris leaf blight two times application of Cabriotop is effective and WMRI Gom-1 is most suitable variety against leaf blight disease.en_US
