dc.description.abstractAn experiment was conducted at the net house of department of Horticulture, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU), Dinajpur during Mach to May, 2024 to evaluate the growth and development of Plumeria stem cutting as influenced by different plant growth regulators. In the experiment, terminal stem cuttings of Plumeria were treated with 7 PGRs concentrations with control viz., T1 = Distilled water (Control), T2 = Aloe vera gel, T3 = 50 ppm Indole-3-butyric acid (IBA), T4 = 100 ppm IBA, T5 = 150 ppm IBA, T6 = 50 ppm naphthalene acetic acid (NAA), T7 = 100 ppm NAA and T8 = 150 ppm NAA. The single factor experiment was laid out in a completely randomized design (CRD) with four replications. Oppositely, 17 growth and development attributes were compared and most of which differed significantly (p ≤ 0.05) among the treatments. The result revealed that at 110 DAP maximum number of roots per cutting (33.66), average diameter of root (8.62 mm), average length of root (15.01 cm), fresh weight of root (9.42 g), average length of stem (32.00 cm), average stem diameter (22.60 mm), number of internodes (6.33), average length of internode (8.62 mm), leaf size (length: 189.95 mm, breadth: 54.52 mm. area: 10392 mm2), percent dry weight of leaf and root (16.66 and 20.25%), specific leaf area (31.72 mm2/ g) and absolute growth rate (0.15 mm/day) were recorded in the cuttings dipped in 50 ppm IBA concentration (T3). However, maximum number of leaves per cutting (19.66) was recorded in T4 (100 ppm IBA). The results suggested that among different PGRs concentration, IBA at 50 ppm concentration is better for the growth and development of root and shoot of the Plumeria stem cuttings.en_US
