Abstract
Avian reovirus (ARV) is associated with several disease syndromes in poultry and
cause notable global economic losses in the poultry industry. Detection of avian
reovirus antibodies from suspected field sera sample was based on serological
test. The sera sample collected from ten age group (A1-A10) layer birds of different
small scale layer farm in Dinajpur district of Bangladesh. Indirect ELISA (iELISA)
was performed to detect the ARV specific antibody. In this study, the highest
antibody titer was detected as 26120 and lowest as 288 by iELISA. The total 93.33 %
sera samples were showed positive result. The highest mean titer was found in group
A4 as 12648.88 which are 18 weeks aged birds. Therefore, to isolate and
characterization of the reovirus further research is necessary.
