The experiments were conducted in the laboratory of the Department of Plant Pathology, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU), Dinajpur Bangladesh, during the period from June 2016 to May 2017. In the first experiment, seeds of twenty wheat varieties viz. Kheri, Kalyensone, Sonora 64, Sonalika, Pavon 76, Kanchan, Aghrani, Protiva, Sourav, Gourab, Shatabdi, Sufi, Bijoy, Prodip, BARI Gom 25, BARI Gom 26, BARI Gom 27, BARI Gom 28, BARI Gom 29 and BARI Gom 30 were sown in plastic trays containing sand medium to determine the incidence and severity of black point and associated fungi.Wheat seeds sown in peterdishes containing blotting paper to determine the incidence and severity of black point of wheat and fungi associated with wheat seed of different varieties. The highest black point diseases (22.25%) were found in the variety of Kheri followed by Sonora 64, Bijoy, Kanchan, Sonalika, Shatabdi, Sourav and Kalyensona while the lowest (3.75%) was found in BARI Gom 30, followed by BARI Gom 27, BARI Gom 28, BARI Gom 29 and BARI Gom 26. The study revealed that BARI Gom 27 was moderately resistant to black point disease while Sonalika showed susceptible reaction. The result showed that the highest germination percentage 14 DAS (94.00%), the numbers of normal seedlings (79.00%), percent healthy seedling incidence (84%), shoot weight (0.19g), root length (34.78 cm), shoot length (0.86 g) was found in BARI Gom 27 but the highest root weight (24.61 cm) was found in BARI Gom 25, however, the lowest was found in Sonalika. In the second experiment the highest percentage of Bipolaris sorokiniana, Alternaria alternate, Culvularia lunata, Fusarium sp., Aspergillus sp., Epicoccum sp., Nigrospora sp., Phoma sp., were found in control whereas the lowest percentage was observed with the treatemt of Provax-200 and Allamanda. In accordance with Provax-200, Allamana and Basak also increase the seed germination, shoot and root length & weight.en_US
