The experiments were conducted at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science & Technology University, Dinajpur during 2016-2017 cropping season to manage the rhizome rot of ginger. Soil was amended with mustard oil cake (2 t/ha), neem oil cake (2 t/ha), saw dust (2 t/ha), Vermi-compost (4 t/ha), poultry litter (4 t/ha) and cow dung (2 t/ha). In another experiment, fungicide namely Contuf 5 EC @ 1ml/L water, Bavistin DF @ 1 g/L water, Companion @ 2 g/L water, Fiasta Z-78 @ 2 g/L water, Matco 72 WP @ 2 g/L water, Blitox 50 WP @ 2 g/L water, Cabriotop @ 3 g/L water were applied as seed treatment and foliar spray. Soil amended plots were always showed better results by reducing the disease incidence, disease severity and the lowest number of rhizome rot infected plants. Among the treatment; mustard oil cake exhibited least disease severity (14.76%) of rhizome and maximum yield (5.76 t/ha) of ginger as compared to control (65.56% and 0.82 t/ha) plot. Fungicide Cabriotop and Contuf proved their efficiency to increase plant growth by reducing the disease incidence and disease severity of rhizome rot of ginger. The most effective fungicide Cabriotop resulted 45.08% disease severity of rhizome and yield 4.13 t/ha compared to 69.04% and 0.33 t/ha in control treatment.en_US
