dc.description.abstractA field experiment was conducted at the Crop Physiology and Ecology research field of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University (HSTU), Dinajpur during the period from July to November 2018 with a view to evaluated the effect of foliar fertilizer application on the growth and yield of aman rice (BINA Dhan-7). The experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with six treatments and four replications. The treatments were, T0= Without fertilizer, T1=Recommended fertilizer doses (RDF), T2= Half of RDF and American NPKS, T3= RDF and American NPKS, T4= Half of RDF and foliar NK application, and T5= RDF and foliar NK application. Data were collected on plant height, number of leaves per hill at different days after transplanting, leaf area, SPAD value, number of tillers per hill at variety days after transplanting, number of filled and unfilled grains per panicle, panicle length, 1000-grain weight, grain yield per hill, grain and straw yields. Different fertilizer management treatments had significant effects on most of the parameters. Significantly higher plant height, leaf number, tillers per hill, leaf area, number of tillers per hill, filled grains per panicle, panicle length and grain yield per hill due to additional foliar spray of T3 (RDF and American NPKS) and T5 (RDF and foliar NK application) were contributed to higher yield of rice.en_US
