A study on the management of rhizome rot of ginger was carried out by conducting two experimentation in the research field of Department of Plant Pathology at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Dinajpur cropping season during April, 2017 to March, 2018. Ginger was cultivated by amending soil with Neem oil cake, Cow dung, Mustard oil cake, Poultry litter and Vermicompost in the first experiment. Soil amended plots were perform better result compared to control. Among all the treatments, Neem oil cake and Mustard oil cake showed better results in tiller number, plant height, number of healthy plant and the least disease severity than control. The neem oil cake treatment exhibited highest yield by 5.740 ton/ha and control exhibits the lowest yield by 2.980 ton/ha. In second experiment, ginger was planted in shading condition under litchi and mahogany tree, separately. Ginger planted under litchi tree showed better results in plant height, highest number of healthy plant and least disease incidence of rhizome rot of ginger compared to control. The maximum number of tillers/plant was found under mahogany tree treated plot. The yield of the rhizome was found higher in all the shading conditions than control. The highest yield by 5.020 ton/ha was recorded under litchi tree shaded plot. On the other hand lowest yield by 3.710 ton/ha of rhizome was obtained in control plot.en_US
