    Abstract
This study was conducted in the Department of General Animal Science and Nutrition at Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Dinajpur to determine the effect of Coriander seed powder supplementation on growth performance, carcass characteristics and hematologic parameters of Japanese quail. A total of 45 Japanese quail at the age of 14 days (02 weeks) old were divided into five groups named T0, T1, T2, T3 and T4 respectively. Group T0 was considered as control group which fed only with commercial diet. Group T1 was supplemented with formulation of 1 g/kg feed Coriander seed powder, Group T2 with 2 g/kg feed Coriander seed powder, Group T3 with 3 g/kg feed Coriander seed powder and Group T4 with antibiotic (Renamycin) 1 g/kg feed respectively. Observations were recorded for growth performance, carcass characteristics and hematologic parameters of quail. Body weights were increased significantly (p<0.05) in all treated groups in respect to the control group and highest was recorded in Group T2, supplemented with 2 g/kg feed Coriander seed powder. In treatment groups, there were significant increased (p<0.05) in carcass characteristics but in case of control group no increasing of carcass characteristics was observed. Best result was found in the Group T2. The present study reveals that supplementation of 2 g/kg feed Coriander seed powder gives better result over the other groups in respect to growth performance, carcass characteristics and hematologic parameters of Japanese quail.
