A field experiment was conducted at the Crop Physiology and Ecology research field of Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Dinajpur, Bangladesh during the period from March to June 2019 to study the effects of GA3 and Biofertilizeron growth and yield of mungbean varieties. There were nine treatment combinations. The experiment was laid out in a split plot design with three replications assigning three growing conditions (control, GA3 and biofertilizer) in main plots and three mungbean varieties (BARI mung-6, BINA mung-8 and BINA mung-5) in sub plots. Shoot dry weight, root dry weight, leaf dry weight, number of leaves plant-1 , number of nodules plant-1 , plant height, increased significantly due to application of biofertilizer. The above parameters were the maximum when the mungbean varieties were treated with biofertilizer followed by GA3. Yield and yield contributing characters such as number of flowers plant-1 , number of pods plant-1 , pod length, number of seeds pod-1 , 100- seed weight and grain yield were increased significantly by the application of biofertilizer and GA3 over the control. Among the three mungbean varieties BINA mung-8 performed better in respect of growth, yield and yield contributing traits. Application of GA3 and biofertilizer significantly promoted different traits of wheat and the biofertilizer was more effective compared to GA3. However, the maximum grain yield (1.63 t ha-1 ) was recorded from BINA mung-8 under biofertilized condition and minimum grain yield (0.96 t ha-1 ) was observed in BINA mung-5 under control condition. These results of the present study indicate that the use of Bradyrhizobium inoculants appears to be an effective method for successful mungbean production.en_US
