An experiment was carried out at the Agronomy Research Field, Hajee Mohammad Danesh Science and Technology University, Dinajpur during Aman season of 2015 to investigate the effect of integrated fertilizer management on yield and quality of some varieties of aromatic rice. The experiment included four varieties namely, Kalizira, Kataribhog, Tulshimala and BRRI dhan34 with four fertilizer treatments level consisted of nitrogen (120 kg ha-1), half nitrogen level (60 kg ha-1) combination of commercial compost (dose), half nitrogen level ( 60 kg ha-1) with biofertilizer and half nitrogen level (60 kg ha-1) with farm yard manure (10 t ha1 ). The experiment was conducted in Randomized Complete Block Design. Except only few parameters, the yield, yield contributing and qualitative characteristics were significantly influenced by different fertilizer doses in all varieties of aromatic rice. Yield and quality variation were observed with different integrated fertilizer level of all varieties along with the improvement of yield contributing characters. BRRI dhan34 was found significantly superior to Kalizira, Kataribhog and Tulshimala with respect to effective tillers, panicle length, number of grains panicle-1, grain yield and harvest index. Among fertilizers treatments, the highest grain yield (2.72 t ha-1) was recorded from 60 kg N ha-1 with biofertilizer. The effect of interactions of variety and integrated fertilizer management were statistically significant on several yield contributing characteristics. The effect of variety and integrated fertilizer treatments on different qualitative characters viz., nitrogen content (%), protein content (%), germination (%), vigour index were significant in all varieties of aromatic rice. All the qualitative characters (except aroma and cooking) were found to increase significantly with the combination of biofertilizer and 60 kg N ha-1.en_US
