CROP ESTABLISHMENT METHOD AND FERTILIZER REQUIREMENT FOR BORO RICE AFTER MUSTARD CROP
Collections
Abstract
Recently effort is paid to fit mustard in between rice crops. This would increase
rice productivity under reduced tillage system and lower amount of phosphorus
and potassium requirement in rice mustard rice cropping system. For that a field
experiment was carry out at the Nashipur, Dinajpur, besides wheat research
center. Form 01 Feb 2014 to 06 June 2014 to study the optimum phosphorus
and potassium application after mustard cultivation and the effect of tillage on
crop production was conducted with two treatments in RCBD in 2014. The
treatment of tillage included zero tillage, one puddling and conventional tillage
and the treatment of fertilizer included all fertilization recommend by SRDI, all
except less than 50% of phosphorus and all except less than 50% of Potassium.
In the experiment, the number of tiller hill-1, filled grain panicle-1, grain yield,
and straw yield and harvest index varied significantly due to tillage system and
different fertilization. P1 (one puddling) produce maximum number of filled
grain panicle-1 (85.46) and minimum in P0 (zero tillage) filled grain panicle1
(74.14), maximum number of tiller panicle-1 (21.83) in one puddling & lowest
in conventional tillage (19.58). Highest yield obtain in one puddling (6.26 tha-1)
followed by conventional tillage and lowest yield in zero tillage (5.168 tha-1).
Yield maximum in F1 (6.155 tha-1) followed by all except 50% less than k in F3
(5.58 tha-1), lowest in F1 (all fertilization) 5.283 tha-1. In interaction, highest
yield obtain in P1F2 (one puddling with all except 50% less than of phosphorus)
(6.665 tha-1) and lowest in both P0F1 (zero tillage with all fertilization) (4.748
tha-1) and P2 F3 (Conventional tillage with all except 50% less than of
potassium) (4.748 tha-1).
