<link>http://103.7.193.12:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/2265</link>
<description>Financial Performance Analysis of Rupali Bank PLC
Riyadh, Shadman Shakib
The report attempts to analyze the financial performance of Rupali Bank PLC. It has been one &#13;
of the leading public banks in Bangladesh. The bank offers a wide range of products and &#13;
services, which include deposits, loans, and advances, ATM services, utility services, SME &#13;
banking, internet banking, mobile banking, etc. The ratio analysis method is used to analyze &#13;
the financial performance of Rupali Bank PLC. Therefore, ratios such as leverage ratio, equity &#13;
ratio, debt to equity ratio, loan to total asset ratio, earning per share, return on asset, return on &#13;
equity, etc. are calculated to obtain an overall view of its financial performance by using &#13;
secondary data. For this reason, ten years of data (2014–2023) are to be considered for the year&#13;
to-year financial performance of Rupali Bank PLC. In the year-to-year financial analysis of &#13;
Rupali Bank, it can be said that Rupali Bank has not performed up to the mark in 2021 due to &#13;
the overall unstable condition in the banking sector. This report has been conducted on the basis &#13;
of secondary data. Some financial tools have been used to analyze the data. It is found that the &#13;
EPS rate has increased per year, the leverage ratio has increased compared to the previous year, &#13;
total equity has decreased, the debt ratio has also increased, total assets have increased per year, &#13;
total loans and advances have decreased, and net profit per employee has increased compared &#13;
to the year 2022.  The bank showed an overall improvement in financial stability, with notable &#13;
increases in EPS and a balanced loan-to-deposit ratio. Despite fluctuations, the positive trend &#13;
in ROA and ROE highlights periods of efficiency and profitability. The analysis underscores &#13;
the importance of continuous monitoring and adaptive strategies for sustaining growth and &#13;
improving financial health. The report provides valuable insights for bank authorities, &#13;
investors, shareholders, and policymakers, offering strategic recommendations for future &#13;
performance enhancement and competitive advantage in the banking sector of Bangladesh. &#13;
These findings suggest intricate dynamics in profitability metrics that are essential for strategic &#13;
decision-making. The report underscores the importance of these insights for understanding the &#13;
financial health and operational efficiency of Rupali Bank PLC, providing valuable &#13;
recommendations for its future financial strategies.

Mia, Md. Riad
This study examines ―The Impact of Credit Risk Management on Banks Profitability: A &#13;
Study on Rupali Bank PLC‖ focusing on its Dinajpur branch. Utilizing data from 2012 to &#13;
2022, the report analyzes the relationship between key credit risk indicators, such as non&#13;
performing loan (NPL) ratios and loan loss provisions, and profitability metrics like &#13;
Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE). The findings reveal that effective &#13;
credit risk management, characterized by lower NPL ratios and adequate loan loss &#13;
provisions, significantly enhances profitability. The study underscores the necessity of &#13;
robust risk assessment procedures and proactive credit policies, recommending that &#13;
Rupali Bank PLC enhance its credit appraisal processes and adopt advanced risk &#13;
management tools to sustain financial performance.

<link>http://103.7.193.12:8080/xmlui/handle/123456789/2210</link>
<description>An Empirical Analysis of Profitability on Commercial Banks: A Study of Bangladesh
Sabnaj
The main objective of the study is the empirical analysis of profitability of commercial bank &#13;
through evaluating the effect of leverage, operating efficiency, non-performing loan and &#13;
capital adequacy. For accomplishing this objective, secondary data have been used which &#13;
have been collected from annual reports of 20 commercial banks during the period of 2013&#13;
2022. To obtain more efficient results the present study has used three profitability indicators &#13;
earnings per share (EPS), return on equity (ROE) and return of asset (ROA); as dependent &#13;
variables and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), Operating Expenses to Operating Profit (BOPO), &#13;
Non-Performing Loan and Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR); as independent variables. To &#13;
analyze the data three analytical techniques (pooled ordinary least square model; fixed-effect &#13;
model and random-effects model) has been used to run regression model and to select the &#13;
appropriate results F Test, Breusch and Pagan LM Test and Hausman Test have ben &#13;
employed.  Descriptive statistics, correlation matrix, regression method and hypothesis &#13;
testing have been used to analyze the data. Among the three profitability indicators EPS has &#13;
cooperatively high mean value than ROE and ROA which indicates that the banks have miss &#13;
opportunities. The analytical results of the study show that DER has significant negative &#13;
effect on ROE insignificant negative effect on ROA and EPS. CAR has significant negative &#13;
effect on ROE, ROA while CAR has insignificant negative effect on EPS. NPL has &#13;
insignificant negative effect on ROE while NPL has significant negative effect on ROA, EPS. &#13;
BOPO has insignificant positive effect on ROE, ROA and EPS. Banks should give special &#13;
focus to increase the profit to improve bank profitability and also should be careful of &#13;
selecting borrowers.
